Moses is an Adoption Trauma Educator empowering individuals, families, and communities

THERAPIST | EDUCATOR | CONSULTANT

Moses was born in South Korea and when he was 2 years old, he was taken from his homeland. He’s come to learn that he is a victim of a centuries-old industry that uses adoption as propaganda to run a global child supply market. Through his own pursuit of his truth, he has learned that he is a victim of this industry, among millions living around the world. Women are groomed from birth to believe that adoption is “in the best of the child” and that “giving up their child for adoption will give them a better life.” As they come of age, they are recruited, dehumanized, commodified and exploited for their eggs and children who are trafficked for profit. Moses is left wondering what happened with his mother, if he has family in South Korea, and how he came to have Cerebral Palsy.

As a family therapist, Moses uses his experience of 20+ years to provide trainings to educate his clients, their families, and the greater society about the truth of the industry. He embodies many intersections from personal experience as well as the knowledge, awareness and professional skills to guide his clients towards self-awareness and self-empowerment. He developed the Lifecycle of Adoption Trafficking as well as the Adoption Trauma Factsheets. At this point, he is leading several new initiatives to support keeping families together, family restoration, and to criminalize the industry to stop further victimization. Moses speaks up for Tam, Thaddeus, and Lark who he grew up with to honor their memory and their truths. There is ongoing public debate about the nature of their deaths, which Moses has remained steadfast in saying they died by suicide. He continues to expose the truth to stop the crimes and save lives.
