National Adoption Month Proclamation 2025
I declare war on the human trafficking industry. I will not stand by as innocent infants and children are taken, trafficked and killed in their temporary and permanent placements. I will not remain silent while I'm forced to witness children and their families be targeted, brainwashed, dehumanized, coerced and commodified in a government-endorsed and state-run child supply market.
Too much blood of our youth has already been spilt on the battleground for reproductive rights and the forever family fantasy. The truth is written on their gravestones. It is reprehensible to continue promoting a criminal industry in the face of infants and children who are being abused and tortured in their placements right now. I say every child matters. Every one of their cries for help deserves to be heard. I raise my voice only to amplify theirs with the message: "STOP BUYING US, STOP ABUSING US, STOP KILLING US!"
No child's life should ever be forfeited just so the system can exploit another for profit. The federally-operated child supply market must be defunded permanently. People need to know it is wrong to buy and own a child for any reason. It is criminally wrong to forcibly take a child, place them in an abusive system until they age out, and then expect them to be grateful for services just so their earnings help keep up the very system that caused them a lifetime of harm. Does the exploitation never end?
The shear audacity to disregard these children's lives to celebrate a profit-making scheme and promote policy that expands the human marketplace confirms these are not the kind of people who represent me, my values, morals, and future. Let me be clear that I want a future built on putting humanity first. This happens when we teach about humanity to our children through example.
As a nation, we have watched as Roe vs Wade was reversed. We have seen our freedoms and rights reduced and removed. Our fears and despair have gone through the roof. Withholding resources that help meet basic needs forces us to consider what should never be an option: giving up a child. We have seen state after state install more baby boxes as they enforce the this culture of desperation. We have seen the criminalization of abortion and restriction of reproductive health benefits.
We are living through a well-orchestrated campaign that leads to only one option: Give up your child or face the consequences that may be a threat to your own life. I do not condone this course of action. It has put a target on everyone in this country. I declare war on this industry that threatens our humanity and our future. Stop the promotion of the lies and false narratives. The truth is already out and a well-informed population is not so easily fooled. In fact, we will not stand to be deceived.
Every child matters. Every cry for help matters. Rather than putting them on the exploitation line, let's answer their calls to stop taking, trafficking, and killing them. If one person's rights and freedoms have been trodden on, then we are all harmed irrevocably. We must not allow human life be assigned a monetary value that leads to slavery. Start by signing and sharing the petition to stop the promotion of child trafficking.
